Location & Accommodation

Osombahe-Nord Hunting Safaris offers two large expanses of land in separate locations available for hunting, both with luxurious accommodation and an abundance of game. (Exclusive hunting areas of 100 000ha)

The main lodge and hunting area are situated in the central-eastern highlands of Namibia which is 90km by road from the International airport in the Omitara area. This particular part of the country offers bushveld savannah with a focus on trophy game such as Eland, Waterbuck, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Mountain Zebra and Warthog. You will be accommodated in luxury bungalows with en-suite facilities. The rooms are specially designed to make you feel close to nature and get a full African experience. A large open plan lapa will be your destination after an exciting days hunting. You can relax around a warm fire whilst being treated to a variety of snacks and refreshments from the leopard crested bar. Freshly prepared Namibian cuisine including game meat will promise to exceed your expectations.

The other lodge is situated in the Kalahari, about 150km from the International Airport in a south-eastern direction. Here, the red dunes promise great Oryx, common Impala, Blesbok, Burchells Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest, Steenbok, Duiker and an overwhelming amount of Springbok,. After searching the dunes for your trophies, we will return to the plantation style house where you will be staying in two stories of old age luxury. Relax yourself either inside around the fireplace where refreshing drinks are available or make yourself at home around the bond fire merely ten paces away.

Your Hosts

Harald Jacobsz is the owner and primary professional hunter of Osombahe-Nord. Harald was born in Namibia in 1981, he was always intrigued by wildlife, fishing and touring, excited by anything the outdoors had to offer. After finishing school Harald went to work and gain experience affar by traveling overseas before returning to Namibia in 2002 to establish this hunting operation. Liezel grew up on a farm in the Kalahari and loves the tranquillity of the African bush, she finished her studies in South Africa in 2007 and moved back to Namibia to pursue a career in Human Resource Management and Industrial Psychology. The couple got married in 2013 and are now focussed on providing hunters with the best hunting experience Namibia has to offer.

Harald is a qualified professional hunter and tour guide, he has lead numerous hunters and tourists on numerous expeditions throughout the majority of Namibia gaining a wealth of knowledge on the behaviour of game, tracking, skinning and the proper treatment of trophies.
